Cryogenic data storage technology is of use in superconducting single-flux quantum electronics and computing. However, the lack compatible cryogenic memory technology, which can operate at temperatures 4 K (or lower), hinders development practical scalable systems. Here we examine technologies. We explore three areas technology: non-superconducting memories (including those based on charge resistance), Josephson junctions, interference devices memristors) hybrid (which both technologies). consider key challenges involved integration such with circuits computers. also provide a comparison capabilities different technologies context requirements This Review examines technologies—including memories, memories—and their potential application
